The Obey 8F Drafter is a sports coupe appearing in Grand Theft Auto Online.
Description[]
Grand Theft Auto Online[]
The 8F Drafter was released as part of The Diamond Casino & Resort update.
Influence[]
Grand Theft Auto Online[]
The 8F Drafter's design is likely inspired by the 2018 Audi RS5 Coupe. The overall body shape is very sleek, creating a low profile for the vehicle. The main grille and front bumper are inspired by the ones found on the 2015-2020 Ford Mustang Shelby GT350, while the headlights resemble the Ford Falcon (FG X). The side profile resembles the BMW M4 CS (F82) with a character line running from the rear taillight housing to a vertical side vent just behind the front wheel. The rear exhaust and bumpers are also very similar to the M4 CS. The taillights are heavily inspired by the second-gen RS5 coupe. However, the 2018-present RS5 coupe does not have connected tail lights, with it taking some inspiration from the 2014 Audi TT Sportback Concept.
Design[]
Grand Theft Auto Online[]
The car boasts a sleek, sporty 2-door coupe design enhanced with various aftermarket parts in its original state, including a front splitter and rear diffuser. Drawing inspiration from models like the 9F and Tailgater, it incorporates modern elements, such as fully LED headlights. The back of the vehicle also resembles the Tailgater but with a sporty twist: twin double-exit exhausts are positioned beneath a prominent splitter, and a subtle, upward-swept ducktail-like feature graces the rear boot lid.
The vehicle uses a dedicated "Super2" interior, which is largely identical to the one seen in the Dominator GTX (itself being the same interior from the Specter), except for the vented section on the front of the dashboard, under the windscreen. The Obey logo can be seen on the horn cap.
The primary colour of the car is applied on the body, while the secondary colour is applied on the lower splitter and interior stitching. It uses a unique set of split five-spoke rims with small bifurcations on the ends and small additional spokes on each main spoke. The rims also have a black finish with an additional colouring around it (although only models generated in the Content Creator or obtained from the Lucky Wheel will have the default white colour).

Performance[]
Grand Theft Auto Online[]
The 8F Drafter is a very high-performing car in the sports category. It lacks top speed but makes up for its loss by having a superior acceleration. Braking is also one of the best in the sport category. Handling on the car is even in parallel with some supercars. It is highly recommended to obtain this vehicle if the player decides to race in the sports category as it has superior performance compared to other vehicles in this class.
The 8F Drafter has one (the eleventh) Advanced Flag enabled.[1] The purpose of this flag is unknown, but it appears to have little impact on performance.
The 8F Drafter is powered by what appears to be a V8 engine (based on the cover), coupled to a 6-speed gearbox in a front engine, all wheel drive layout (40-60, front to rear distribution). Its engine sound is loud, somewhat similar to the one found in the Schlagen GT.

Radio Stations[]
- In Grand Theft Auto Online, the default radio stations are grouped by genre. The 8F Drafter uses the "Dance" group which can play:
- FlyLo FM
- Soulwax FM
- Los Santos Underground Radio (Enhanced Editions only. May not play due to a three station limit within the group)
- Music Locker Radio (Enhanced Editions only)
- Media Player (Enhanced Editions only. May not play due to a three station limit within the group)
Trivia[]
- The "Racing The Edge" livery is a reference to the iconic BMW M3 GTR (E46) from Need for Speed: Most Wanted and Need for Speed: Carbon.
Bugs/Glitches[]
Grand Theft Auto Online[]
- The car suffers from a few quality-control issues:
- The 8F Drafter lacks functioning indicators on both the front and rear, despite the appearance of clearly defined indicator sections inside the taillights and on the front bumper.
- The front indicators appear to be unbreakable; even by crashing it or shooting at the lights seem to take no effect, as if the same were not rendered as lights.
- The number plate light on the rear is attached to the chassis rather than to the boot lid, thus it will remain in place with the boot lid open/detached.
- The "Val De Grace" livery appears to be missing from the list, rendering it unable to be applied. Those that were applied with the livery prior to its removal will still remain with it, unless the player decides to change it, which at this point, the livery will be lost.
