Tarnell is a minor character in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. He is a member of the Grove Street Families gang, which is based in Ganton, Los Santos. Tarnell is mostly seen with Troy and another unnamed gang member, and can be recruited by CJ during various missions. He is also a Multiplayer Character.
Description
Tarnell is slightly overweight, and his outfit consists of a green bandana, green sweater, black jeans and white sneakers. His character model is not unique and is shared with many other Families members.
Events of GTA San Andreas
Tarnell is first seen in the The Introduction video, playing Dice with Sweet, Big Smoke and another member in front of the Johnson House in Grove Street. He later appears towards the end of the video as one of the members shooting at the green Sabre following the drive-by attack which killed Beverly Johnson.
He next appears during the mission Catalyst, where he and Troy shoots the Ballas tryng to steal the weapons Carl and Ryder stole. During the mission Robbing Uncle Sam, Tarnell is seen walking away with Ryder and Troy (GTA San Andreas) after CJ and Ryder deliver the stolen weapons. He is later seen in the mission House Party, talking with some other members before a GSF member comes up and tells them that the Ballas are coming to attack Grove Street. Tarnell helps Carl, Sweet and the other members successfully fend off the Ballas. He is then seen in Los Sepulcros meeting with Carl Johnson, Sweet Johnson, Troy and three other members in Grove Street, where Sweet decides to assassinate a high ranking member of the Ballas, Kane at a funeral. Only Tarnell and Troy can be recruited, before they drive with Carl and Sweet to the cemetery, where Kane is killed. He is then seen in Green Sabre, with Sweet Johnson, Fam3 and some other members, getting ready to kill the Ballas. When CJ arrives, there are 3 models of Tarnell shooting. It turns out to be a trap and Cj gets captured by Frank Tenpenny and Eddie Pulaski and Sweet is put in Jail.
Because Carl is out of Los Santos for most of the following storyline, Tarnell's next appearance is not until Grove 4 Life, where he is seen sitting around the table with Troy and some other Families members, while Sweet reminds them that is important for the remaining members to stick together. Should the player choose, he can be recruited during Los Desperados.
