The Euros is a two-door sports car featured in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas.

Description

Design

The Euros design is clearly resembles the Nissan 300ZX (Z32) with rear lights resembles the Audi Quattro Spyder Concept, the rear quarter panels from the 3rd generation Pontiac Firebird and the rear bumper from the older Nissan 300ZX (Z31). The Euros is a sleek, contemporary sports car, appearing as one of the most modern vehicles at the time of the game's 1992 setting. The Euros is also the only car featuring a panoramic sunroof.

Performance

Despite its suggestive designs, the Euros is one of the slowest sports cars in the game, as its acceleration and speed are far inferior to all other sports cars in the game. Nevertheless, the Euros still has better speed and acceleration than most other cars in the game. Handling and braking are also fairly good. The Euros is a front-engined, all wheel drive car, and sounds as though powered by a V6.

Being a conventional sports car, the Euros can only be modified to a limited extent at any TransFender garage.

Trivia

  • In GTA San Andreas, the default radio station in the Euros is SF-UR.
  • The Euros has a unique horn.
  • The beta version of the Euros had different wheels and was more reflective. The beta wheel design resembles the Nissan Z32's wheel design.
  • This car may be modeled after the base model Nissan 300ZX that has a naturally-aspirated V6 engine.
  • It's names are modeled on The Eunos marque, which was the fun to drive, upscale brand compared to entry level Autozam, traditional Mazda products, and exclusive luxury brand Ẽfini. The name was derived for the ancient Greek "eu" meaning "good" and "nos", an abbreviation of "numbers" in English, meant to signify a number, or assortment, of good things. The Marque was launched in Japan with the Eunos 500 in January, 1992 and many of the vehicles created were exported to other markets. short term for Europe and it's current currency for some of it's nations in real-life. Euro (a nod to Japanese sports cars having a heated competition between European sports cars by that time when GTA SA was set in 1992). And the name of a neighbourhood in Singapore in the Paya Lebar urban planning area east of the Central Area. This might be a reference to Nissan's popularity in Singapore and it's neighbor, Malaysia.
