Doyle O'Neil is a character in the Grand Theft Auto series who appears as a minor, unidentified character in Grand Theft Auto V.
History[]
Background[]
Doyle is a member of the inbred O'Neil redneck family, and brother to several siblings, including Elwood, Walton, Wynn, Dale, Ernie, Earl, Daryl and Dan. The family was raised on a ranch in Grapeseed, Blaine County, San Andreas, which they still use as a home and meth lab. The brothers are involved in selling drugs and cooking meth, with Elwood serving as a leader to his brothers.
Doyle and his brothers are familiar with Trevor Philips, a fellow drug dealer and the owner of Trevor Philips Enterprises, whom the brothers are rivals with.
Events of Grand Theft Auto V[]
Trevor arrives at the Yellow Jack Inn and confronts Tao Cheng and his interpreter. When they mention they want to pursue other jobs, Trevor threatens them to get them to reveal who they are working with, which turn out to be the O'Neil brothers. Trevor, now furious, proceeds to the O'Neil ranch, calling Elwood O'Neil to threaten him on the way there.
Doyle was one of the many unidentified O'Neil brothers killed by Trevor in the ranch before he destroyed their farmhouse and meth lab, shortly after Elwood, Walton and Wynn left the farm for a meeting with the Triads.
After the deaths of Elwood, Walton and Wynn during the mission Predator, Maude Eccles will post on Bleeter asking if Doyle was the brother killed in the forest, as she can't differentiate any of the brothers. She also claims that Doyle and some of his brothers were bail jumpers.
Mission Appearances[]
Grand Theft Auto V[]
- Crystal Maze (Killed)
Trivia[]
- It can only be assumed through Maude's Bleet that Doyle is one of the many enemies using a randomized variant of a generic Grapeseed pedestrian (dubbed "Grapeseed" in Director Mode), and not the other redneck pedestrian models used in the mission.
