Dinka (Japanese: ディンカ, Deinka) is a Japanese automobile and motorbike manufacturer appearing in Grand Theft Auto IV and Grand Theft Auto V.
Description
Dinka manufacture a variety of compact cars, sports cars and family cars, as well as streetfighters, dirt bikes and sports bikes. They also manufacture the Marquis, a sailing yacht. It and Weeny's name are synonymous with the word 'small', likely a reference to the size of vehicles they manufacture.
Dinka is the name of an African tribe in south Sudan, however it actually parodies Japanese automaker Honda (though the Jester Classic has no resemblance to Honda cars and is instead based on a Toyota vehicle). Components of Dinka's logo are reminiscent of the letter H in Honda's logo, although Dinka's logo consists of six brackets (both "]" and "["). Dinka is a play on "dink", a racial slur for Asians, especially the Vietnamese. Dinka is also a play on British die-cast toy car maker "Dinky Toys", which was later used to describe any cheaply constructed small car, as Honda and other Japanese automakers initially produced low-quality econobox cars for export to the North American market in the 1970s, before moving to more upmarket vehicles.

Trivia
- "Dinka" is an implausible Japanese name as the syllable "di" does not exist in native Japanese language words (outside of Nihon-shiki form of romanization of ヂ, which is pronounced "ji" and doesn't occur in words outside of the phenomenon of Rendaku). The name is translated by translating ディンカ(Deinka) to "Dinka", in a similar manner to the translation of Infiniti (インフィニティ/Infuinitei).
