Dave Bosoy (credited as Dave the Mate) is a character in the Grand Theft Auto series, appearing as a minor character in Grand Theft Auto IV.

Bosoy was a crew member whom Niko Bellic worked with on the Platypus ship during its voyage to Liberty City.
Events of Grand Theft Auto IV[]
Bosoy is seen in the very first cutscene in GTA IV, tied to his bunkbed, wearing erotic leather clothing and being whipped by an unnamed Thai woman, also in sexual leather clothing, while Niko stands outside the door attempting to prepare him for docking.
According to Weazel News and the Liberty Tree, Bosoy's body was later found in Algonquin trussed up in a straitjacket and diaper, covered in whip lashings. His cause of death is unknown.[1] Hossan Ramzy will later send Niko an email asking if he heard about Dave's death.

- Non-chronologically, Bosoy speaks the first lines in Grand Theft Auto IV and the HD Universe, repeatedly yelling "Daddy's back you bitches!"
- On Dave's back, there is a tattoo with the coat of arms of the Russian Federation. In this regard, it can be assumed that Dave is Russian.
- Bosoy (Russian: Босой) means "barefoot" in Russian.
