DUDE is a corporation manufacturering power tools and heavy machinery in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas , and a chemicals company in Grand Theft Auto IV.

3D Universe

The DUDE name first appeared, albeit in beta form, on a nailgun originally to be used as a weapon in Grand Theft Auto Vice City, but the gun was dropped during development. In Grand Theft Auto San Andreas, the DUDE name appears primarily on heavy machinery, including cranes, controllable cement trucks, and other earth moving vehicles.

HD Universe

In Grand Theft Auto IV, an abandoned DUDE Chemicals plant can be found in Acter Industrial Park, Alderney.

DUDE may be a spoof of construction companies such as Caterpillar, and the name may be a parody of MAN. The current DUDE logo, which consists of a man lifting the word "DUDE" with some difficulty, first appeared in GTA San Andreas, and remained in use in GTA IV.
