Conor & Jay are a pop-rock band featured in Grand Theft Auto 2, Grand Theft Auto III and Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories.

History[]

Background[]

The band has three known singles: "Vegas Road", which is heard on Rockstar Radio in GTA 2 as the second song listed on the radio station, "Change", which is heard on Head Radio in GTA III as the fourth song listed on the radio station, "Train", which is heard on Head Radio in GTA Liberty City Stories as the first song listed on the radio station.

The first part of the band's name, "Conor", is a play on Craig Conner, a sound producer for the Grand Theft Auto games and one of the main composers for several of the music featured within the early games, and the second part, "Jay", is a reference to Julie Wemyss, who, in addition to co-writing the band's songs with Conner, also provided the lead vocals.

Trivia[]

  • The song "Change", featured in Grand Theft Auto III, partially interpolates the hook from the English rock band Oasis' 1995 single "Wonderwall".
