The ability to customize the player characters with a variety of clothing has returned in Grand Theft Auto V. It has been improved, allowing the player to choose from a diverse and a larger variety of clothes.

Special Outfits

Outfits are special types of clothing that change all the player's clothes. Most outfits are unlocked after the last mission, or after an activity like Triathlon, Tennis or Golf.

	Epsilon Robes	Baby blue robes worn by members of the Epsilon Program. Can be bought by Michael for $25,000 after Bearing the Truth, and after Exercising the Truth, a medal is added to the outfit. No matter how you end Unknowing the Truth, you still can keep it after the mission.	Michael
	Exterminator	A red Bugstars uniform used in The Jewel Store Job(Smart Approach). In the mission, Michael also wears a Gas Mask, but in the wardrobe it is found without it. Franklin also wears a bugstars cap.	Franklin Michael
	Golf	Clothing suitable for Golf. Unlocked after playing golf for the first time with a character, you have to play once all three protagonists to unlock the outfits for every protagonist. 	Highway Patrol	An uniform worn by Highway Patrol officers, and given to Michael and Trevor during the mission I Fought the Law... to disguise as highway patrol officers on Police Bikes and stop the racers to steal their cars.	Michael Trevor
	Hunting	A camouflage outfit used for Hunting. The outfit is unlocked after Fair Game.	Trevor
	Janitor	A janitor outfit used by janitors in the FIB Headquarters. Taken from Harvey Molina in Cleaning out the Bureau, Used only in The Bureau Raid if the Covert entry is selected. Even if you don't select the covert entry, you will unlock the janitor outfit after completing the last mission.	Michael
	Jewel Heist Suit	A suit worn by Michael in The Jewel Store Job, only if you select the loud approach, otherwise it is missed and there will be no other way to get it.	Michael
	Ludendorff	Big warm jackets worn by Michael and Trevor to stand the cold in Bury the Hatchet when they travel to Ludendorff.	Michael Trevor
	Moto X	Motocross outfits used in Offroad Races. Doing a Sanchez/Blazer Race with a character unlocks the Moto X Outfit for that character. The outfits have motorcycle brands on them. Franklin's outfit has Steel Horse on it, Michael's outfit has Western Motorcycle Company on it and Trevor's outfit has Nagasaki on it.	Franklin Michael Trevor
	Pink Ladies Sweats	Pink Ladies Sweats worn by Patricia Madrazo, and after the game they show up in Trevor's wardrobe. It further backs up Trevor's obsession and love to Patricia. It is unknown how he got it, since in Monkey Business Patricia returns home with that outfit.	Trevor
	Prologue	These are the outfits Michael and Trevor have worn during the Prologue.	Michael Trevor
	Scuba Land	These are scuba outfits for on land. Michael's Scuba Land outfit also has a Scuba helmet.	Franklin Michael Trevor
	Security	Gruppe Sechs security uniforms and helmets worm by security officers driving the Securicars to the Union Depository, Worn by Michael and Trevor in The Big Score with fake IDs to pose as Harry Maxwell and Diego Santiago, if the subtle approach is selected. Even if the subtle approach is not selected, you will unlock the outfit at the end of the game.	Michael Trevor
	Skydiving	A skydiving jumpsuit given to Franklin during Liquidity Risk by Dom Beasley. The outfit makes unique sounds when walking.	Franklin
	Spec Ops	A special operations outfit resembling the Scuba Land outfit, only difference being that Michael has no mask in the Spec Ops outfit.	Michael
	Stealth	Black clothes and a Balaclava for every character, used during stealthy missions.	Franklin Michael Trevor
	Tennis	Sporty clothes suitable for Tennis. Michael has all white clothing, and a wristband on his right hand. Trevor has ProLaps clothing, a Headband and wristbands on both arms. The outfit is unlocked after a character plays tennis for the first time. It is then saved to the character's wardrobe.	Michael Trevor
	Triathlon	Triathlon clothing suitable for all three sports in the activity. The outfit is unlocked after a character completes a triathlon for the first time. The outfit is then saved to the character's wardrobe. Franklin's outfit is a Purple ProLaps outfit, Michael's outfit is Yellow Eris outfit and Trevor's outfit is a Red Eris outfit. 	Tuxedo	Sharp suits purchaseable in Ponsonbys. The white tuxedo can be stolen from Brandon Roberts in the mission Deep Inside to make it easier to steal the JB 700. Michael's tuxedo is needed for the mission Meltdown. Franklin and Trevor's black tuxedos are optional and you are not needed to buy them.	Franklin Michael Trevor

Trivia

• It is possible to tell whether the Protagonist likes the clothing that is either being purchased by them or being worn by the way they move when the clothing is being selected.
• Some sets use the same clothes for other sets. For example, Michael's Scuba Land, Stealth and Spec Ops sets shares the same clothes and accessories.
• In Binco and Discount Stores, Michael's Prologue jacket can be seen. However, the player cannot purchase it, due to the fact that the jacket is unlocked anyway upon completion of the storyline.
