The Civic Citadel is a building in Grand Theft Auto IV and Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars located in City Hall, Algonquin.

The Civic Citadel is located on Diamond Street, bordered by Emerald Street to the north, Liberty Lane to the west and Denver Avenue to the east. It is located within the City Hall district, specifically part of the City Hall Park complex, and is bordered by the district of Little Italy to the north. The building appears to serve as Liberty City's city hall. There are large steps on the southern face leading from Diamond Street, leading up to the building's main entrance. The building itself is inaccessible, but has several appearances.

The building appears to be based on the New York City Hall, located within the City Hall Park in the Civic Center area of Manhattan, New York City, in a similar manner to the Civic Citadel's location.

Prominent Appearances in Missions

Grand Theft Auto IV

During "Entourage", the player is instructed to drive Bobby Jefferson to the Civic Citadel, which is revealed to be Liberty City's city hall. This is the only instance where the building is referred as such.

Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars

During Wilhelm's first random event, he asks Huang to take him to an auction in in the Civic Citadel, he promises to pay big to Huang in return. In his second random event, he asks Huang to take him to an auction in City Hall again, he will pay even more in return than before.

  • Likely a developer oversight, the Civic Citadel is incorrectly marked on the map as 233 Liberty Lane.
