Chris Edwards was a senior artist at Rockstar Leeds from 2005 to circa 2014.
Career[]
Edwards was credited as an additional artist and level designer on Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories, an artist on Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars, a senior UI developer on Grand Theft Auto V, and a senior artist on Grand Theft Auto Online.
While at Rockstar, he was also credited on Midnight Club 3: DUB Edition, L.A. Noire and Max Payne 3.
Some time shortly after the release of GTA V, Edwards died in his sleep. In his memory, a bench dedicated to him was placed in the graveyard of Hill Valley Church in the next-gen release of the game.[1][2] Notably, unlike the two benches located on either side of it, the memorial bench is indestructible, with the top panels and sign also being impervious to bullet holes, and is also fully clean without damage or graffiti.
