Cheval is an American[1][2] automotive manufacturer that appears in the HD Universe of the Grand Theft Auto series.
Influence[]
The company appears to be primarily based on the now-defunct Australian car manufacturer Holden, while drawing significant influence from American brands like Chevrolet—Holden's sibling under General Motors—and Hennessey, from which the Taipan takes substantial inspiration. Additionally, the name of the Taipan reflects Cheval's Australian influence, as taipans are venomous snakes endemic to Australia.
Cheval is French for "horse", referencing both the brand's logo and Holden, which started out as a business crafting saddles for horses before entering the automotive industry.
