This is a list of notable casualties in the Grand Theft Auto IV era. The list follows a logical order and includes named characters and unnamed important characters, but not unidentified collateral casualties.

The games are Grand Theft Auto IV, The Lost and Damned, and The Ballad of Gay Tony (all set in 2008), and Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars (set in 2009). Since the games take place so close together, casualties will be divided among each game.

Choices

During several missions, Niko has a choice of either killing someone or letting them go, which can have an impact on the gameplay/storyline (with the exception of Clarence Little, who shows up again to try to kill Niko and gets killed himself).
