Italianate buildings in the Grand Theft Auto series. The Italianate style florished in the U.S.A. in the mid-nineteenth century, drawing inspiration from the Italian Renaissance and incorporating picturesque elements of Venetian villas of the fifteenth century. Its main distinctive elements are low-pitched or flat roofs, imposing cornices, and pedimented windows and doors.
