Not much is known about him other than the fact that he is the father of Carl Johnson, the protagonist of GTA San Andreas, and presumably the father of Sweet, Kendl and Brian.
He is mentioned by Carl and his childhood barber Old Reece; when Carl goes to get a haircut at Reece's Hair & Facial Studio, Old Reece will sometimes tell him that his father used to get a cut just like him, however he has been known to contradict this, sometimes also saying "yo Moms used to choose all your styles".
During The Introduction, in the Red Light District in Portland, Liberty City, when CJ steals a car, he phones Joey Leone and tells him that he never knew his father.
