Capture is a free DLC game mode in Grand Theft Auto Online released on December 18, 2013, as part of the 1.08 update. It is GTA's version of the famous Capture the Flag. It is available for up to 16 players depending on the map. As of the 1.12 patch, the Capture Creator has been added to the Content Creator tool, allowing players to make their own Capture maps.
Description[]
In Capture, there are two teams, along with their own bases. Each team must try to capture the other team's package, which are located in the other team's headquarters. In Capture, unlike other competitive game modes, vehicles are able to be used, which adds a whole new element to gameplay.
Killing an enemy holding your team's package will make the package dropped. At this point, your team can either pick up the package to automatically be returned to base or the enemy team can pick it up again. A package can be destroyed if it is underwater.
