Influence[]
Calais Avenue is seemingly based on both Vermont Avenue and Normandie Avenue, two major north–south thoroughfares in Los Angeles, California, incorporating the buildings of the former while deriving its name from the latter, referencing the northern French coastal city of Calais, in contrast to Normandie Avenue, which shares its name with the northern French region of Normandie.
