The Broadway is a classic car featured in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas and returning to Grand Theft Auto Online as part of the continuation of the Los Santos Drug Wars update, released on February 9, 2023, during the Broadway Week event. It is manufactured by Classique in the HD Universe.
Design[]
Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas[]
The Broadway resembles a convertible lowrider from the late 1940s, specifically based on a 1947 Cadillac Series 62.
The front of the car is easily distinguishable by its small bumper, wide grille and protruding nose, in conjunction with circular headlights, a central trim on the hood lid and the split windscreen. The sides are mostly dominated by rounded fenders with body trims on them, while the doors have traditional handles and classic rounded mirrors. The rear assumes a slanted profile and has a wide trunk lid, small tail lights and a bulky bumper. It is only available with the roof down.
Broadways are the only vehicles in the game that allows the player to do Pimping missions. In addition, being a lowrider that supports hydraulics from Loco Low Co., a Broadway can be used to participate in the Lowrider Challenge at Unity Station, Los Santos.
The car is seen with a variety of primary colors for the bodywork, as well as white/dark grey secondary colors for the interior (though it can be changed at Loco Low Co.). It has classic wheels with a circular dish/cap on them.
Grand Theft Auto Online[]
The vehicle appears to be largely based on the 1946-1948 Oldsmobile 66 Club Sedan, with elements taken from 1940s Chevrolet models, Fleetmaster, Fleetline and Stylemaster, seen mainly in the grille and the tail light shape. The headlights seem to been inspired by the ones found on the 1939–1940 Oldsmobile Series 70.
The car retains some of the characteristics from its previous rendition, but assumes a taller and narrower profile. On the front, the car has a bulky chrome bumper at the bottom with a license plate on the center, while the upper area has a trapezium-shaped grille with three horizontal elements and a vertical one on the center, also finished in chrome. Near the upper corners of the grille are two circular headlights, while the hood/nose has a protruding shape with the Classique emblem on the front. The same hood opens to reveal the engine bay and two support frames connected to the front fenders (if present).
On the sides, the car has protruding fenders and chrome trim at the bottom of the wheelbase with various lines on the rearmost end, as well as a "Classique" badge on the front left fender, and traditional chrome door handles. The cabin/greenhouse area is rounded in shape and bears chrome trim around the windows, the separations on the door windows and the waist lines running between the seams hood and trunk seams, along with rounded mirrors.
On the rear end, the trunk lid bears a "Classique" badge and the plate holder below, along with a traditional handle on a vertical positioning. Either side of the car are two red rectangular tail lights with chrome trim around, while the bottom mounts a chrome bumper similar to the front one, over a rather bulky section of the rear overhang. Its underside denotes a similar arrangement to vehicles like the Hotknife and the Tornado Rat Rod, sporting a narrower chassis on the frontal area, a beam axle on the front, a large differential on the rear axle and suspension linkages on both, as well as two exhaust pipes running through the car, with long chrome tips located just below the rear bumper. Its interior is derived from the Peyote, yet it has the Vapid-branded floor mats like the aforementioned car (which is likely a developer oversight due to reused assets).
The primary color of the car is applied to the bodywork, hood and most of the inner portions of the engine bay and trunk compartment, while the secondary color is applied to the cabin/greenhouse and trunk areas, as well as the surroundings of the side windows on the interior and the steering wheel. It uses a set of wheels that are similar to the "Classic Rod" wheels available in Los Santos Customs and other mod shops, albeit with a larger centercap. Whitewall tires are also fitted as standard.

Performance[]
Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas[]
The Broadway's road-going credentials are good, possessing a good top speed and responsive cornering and braking. However, the Broadway's speed is hampered by slightly delayed acceleration, and can easily flip over if the hydraulics are jacked up. Although it does not appear to have a visible fuel cap, it will explode if the rear license plate is shot.
If it has hydraulics, the lowrider control for hopping interferes with starting a pimping mission and vice versa, making it unfavorable for doing stunts and tricks.
The car uses a petrol engine that powers the rear wheels through a 4-speed gearbox. Its engine sound is the same one from the Hermes, being generally low-revving and smooth.

Grand Theft Auto Online[]
The car uses a single-cam V8 engine with fully-animated timing belt and pulleys, which powers the rear wheels through a 3-speed gearbox. Its engine sound is similar to the Stafford, being a low-pitched variation of the one used on cars such as the Dominator, the Ruiner and the Vigero. The vehicle's engine can be also modified with a supercharger.

- The Varrios Los Aztecas use the Broadway as a gang car.

Events[]
Grand Theft Auto Online[]
The Broadway has been featured in the following event(s):

Oversights[]
Grand Theft Auto Online[]
- Through selection and quick scrolling of the "Bodywork" modifications, one can either remove the doors section of the front fenders or add the frontal side-trim without front fenders[1], seemingly floating beside the car. The Test Drive at Premium Deluxe Motorsport during Broadway Week had the door fender missing but if the player purchased the vehicle from the shop floor it was restored when delivered to the player's chosen garage[2].
- Breaking the passenger door with a "Swamp Cooler" option installed will revert the door back to its stock form.
- The windshield can be scratched like the metallic parts of the vehicles.
Radio Stations[]
- In Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, the Broadway plays Master Sounds 98.3.
- In Grand Theft Auto Online, the default radio stations are grouped by genre. The Broadway uses the "Rock" group which can play:
- Los Santos Rock Radio
- Radio Mirror Park
- Kult FM (Enhanced Editions only)
- Vinewood Boulevard Radio (May not play due to a three station limit within the group)
Trivia[]
Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas[]
- Despite only appearing with the roof down, Carl will not hop over the doors like other convertibles, and as a result the Broadway will sometimes be locked.
- The pre-release design of the car uses the classic rims from GTA Vice City.
- Both the Cadillac Series 62 Convertible and the Chevrolet Fleetmaster Convertible appear as drivable vehicles in L.A. Noire, a game also published by Rockstar Games.
Grand Theft Auto Online[]
- The Broadway's picture on Legendary Motorsport depicts it without white wall tires. However, the Broadway will always come with them.
- With proper modifications, the vehicle can bear a resemblance to the 1950 Chevrolet Fleetline Rat Rod from the movie The Fate of the Furious.
- The Broadway uses a variety of horns that are only present on a select few vehicles, such as the JB 700, the Stafford and the Paragon R (Armored).
- The car frequently comes with the same horn used for the NPC-driven FIB Buffalo in Grand Theft Auto IV and the police variant in the multiplayer mode of The Ballad of Gay Tony, as well as the TBOGT iteration of the Brickade.
- With the "Downtown Cab Co." livery applied to the car, a classic "TAXI" light is mounted on the roof, which works in conjunction with the headlights.
- The same taxi light is tied to the left headlight, so it will stop working if the aforementioned headlight is broken.
