The MTL Brickade 6x6 is an armored mobile laboratory featured in Grand Theft Auto Online as part of the Los Santos Drug Wars update.
Design[]
Grand Theft Auto Online[]
Exterior[]
The Brickade 6x6 is a customizable variant of the Brickade, sharing the same profile and layout. Only differences are the removal of the panels on the roof, the blacked-out windows of the rear compartment, a number plate holder on the rear end and a Manchez Scout C prop on the rear loader. The right-side door on the rear compartment is also functional and allows the player to enter the "Acid Lab". When installing the "Equipment Upgrade", a vent is added on top of the rear module, near the front left hatch.
Colour distribution is the same as the regular version, being the primary one on the upper side, rear bullbar and interior stitching, as well as the secondary one for the lower side, front wheel arches, and front bullbar. It has heavy-duty rims with a unique design compared to most trucks and are fitted with the same rugged off-road tyres as the regular version. The rims are also able to support a dedicated colour (set to black upon acquisition of the vehicle).
Interior[]
Main article: Acid Lab
The Brickade 6x6's box interior is relatively small and is fitted with the Acid Lab equipment. The rearmost section of the box is mainly occupied by Mutt, who is responsible for the manufacturing of the Acid Product. There is also a table with chemicals that the player can use to temporarily boost the production and can be done once per day. On the frontal section, the supplies are located on the left side, while the product is located on the right side, which will have a certain amount of supply/product depending of what is displayed on-screen. When product occupies the space, the player can find sheets of acid tabs branded with the player's Crew logo. The access door is located near the product area and gives the player the option to either leave the lab or go directly to the cabin of the vehicle. There is also a radio player next to the lab's door, but just like the radio players of the other Services vehicles, it can't be turned on or off or its stations changed by standing in front of it and pressing D-pad right; it has to be done from the Interaction Menu by choosing Services > Acid Lab > Radio.

Performance[]
Grand Theft Auto Online[]
Vehicle[]
The vehicle is largely identical to the regular version, being by far one of the fastest large-sized trucks in the game with very quick acceleration and a high top speed, as well as great handling at low to medium speeds. However, the accessibility to performance upgrades can give it a significant advantage over its regular version, with higher top speed, better acceleration and shortened gear ratios.
Similar to the regular version, as well as vehicles like the Granger or the Roosevelt, the Brickade 6x6 allows passengers to hang on the sides, allowing them to use assault rifles and Light Machine Guns, however, like any of these vehicles, they are very exposed to crashes and gunfire.
The vehicle has very strong air control, able to quickly stabilize itself and even balance on its front or back.
The engine sounds the same as regular trucks, being a medium/high revving engine, cab-over configuration. The 6x6 drive layout (25%-75%, front to rear torque distribution) gives it excellent traction, paired with its rugged heavy duty tyres. The stated 24 valve system would correctly relate to the 6-cylinder engine, assuming the truck takes the standard 4-valves per cylinder configuration.
Armor/Defense[]
Like the regular Brickade, the vehicle has good durability against collisions and the ability to ram smaller vehicles without losing too much speed, but the array of upgrades give the vehicle a considerable advantage over its regular version. Unlike the regular version, however, it can withstand collisions better, as it has virtually no deformation.
Even without the Armor Plating upgrade, the truck can withstand as much punishment as vehicles like the Terrorbyte, the Phantom Custom and the Hauler Custom, surviving up to 33 RPGs or homing missiles, and can also withstand five tank shells or rounds from the Anti-Aircraft Trailer with the Flak Cannons equipped (deemed as one of the most powerful weapons in the game).
With the armor upgrade, however, it can take even more explosives, resisting 47 RPGs or homing missiles, or seven tank shells/Flak Cannon rounds at the cost of removing the ability to use thrown weapons such as Sticky Bombs and Proximity Mines. This makes it the one of the toughest vehicles in the game (after the Phantom Custom/Hauler Custom, which can take 68 homing missiles), although it will still be destroyed by a single Orbital Cannon explosion. It adds armor plating that surrounds the cabin windows, but they are not solid and do not offer protection against firearms.
The ram weapon upgrade, while not providing significant difference due to the truck's high speed and mass, allows to push vehicles aside, as smaller cars have a tendency to get stuck under the Brickade 6x6's bumper when crashing them head-on, and may interfere with the vehicle due to the rather high suspension.
Because of the bullet resistant windows, the front occupants are partially safe until these become shattered by excessive gunfire, withstanding 15 regular rounds (similar to the Rumpo Custom, the XLS (Armored) and the armored vehicles featured in the Executives and Other Criminals update). The sunroof, however, is not bullet resistant.
Weaponry[]
- The vehicle can be fitted with a Ram Weapon. The ram weapon behaves in a similar way to the ram weapons from Arena Cars and the updated scoops and ramming bars of the RCV and Armored Boxville, causing a large amount of damage to other vehicles and often sending them flying into mid-air with little to no disadvantage against the vehicle itself, and no damage to the vehicle's engine whatsoever. It should be noted that the effectiveness against other players is significantly reduced compared to its effectiveness against NPCs and their vehicles. Depending on the equipped ram weapon, the truck deals a different amount of force against other vehicles; the "ram" options, including the Light Ram, Reinforced Ram and Heavy Ram deal the same, but less damage than the Large Scoop.
- The vehicle has the option for installing Proximity Mines. Unlike Weaponized Vehicles added in the Gunrunning update, the Brickade 6x6, along with all Arena Cars in the Arena War update, has five different Proximity Mine choices: Kinetic, Spike, EMP, Slick and Sticky;
- The Kinetic option (orange flashing light) creates a small impulse spreading several meters around the area, sending players and vehicles into the air. The impulse deals little damage to both players and vehicles.
- The Spike option (dark blue flashing light) bursts the tires of vehicles passing over or near it, as well as dealing a small amount of damage to the vehicle, mainly effecting the vehicle's windows, but otherwise dealing no damage or force. The mine does not burst vehicles with Bulletproof Tires installed.
- The EMP option (light blue flashing light) disables the vehicle's electronics when passing over it. The accelerator, brakes and steering, as well as the radio and other features are disabled for around 5 seconds before reactivating. It also deals a small amount of damage to players. The player will be notified by whom their vehicle was disabled by in a small notification above the radar.
- The Slick option (green flashing light) bursts a large amount of oil on the surface, causing vehicles passing over it to lose control. This deals no damage to both vehicles or players.
- The Sticky option (purple flashing light) bursts a large amount of sticky substance on the surface, causing vehicles passing over it to slow down. This deals no damage to both vehicles or players.
