Brenda Carey is a senior principal systems designer at Rockstar Games, having previously been at Rockstar North.
Career[]
Carey joined Rockstar North in February 2004 as a QA tester.
She was credited as a QA tester on Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas and Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories. Following a promotion to level designer in February 2006, Carey was credited as such on Grand Theft Auto IV, The Lost and Damned and The Ballad of Gay Tony before being credited as a Grand Theft Auto Online script lead on Grand Theft Auto V. She was later credited as a senior principal systems designer on Grand Theft Auto Online.
She was also credited for voicing some pedestrians on GTA San Andreas and GTA IV.
Outside of the Grand Theft Auto series, she has also been credited on Red Dead Redemption, Red Dead Redemption II and L.A. Noire.
Carey became a lead tester in November 2004, a level designer in February 2006, and a senior online technical designer in January 2014, before moving to Rockstar Games in New York as a principal designer in January 2020 and a senior principal systems designer in January 2023.
