Not to be confused with Boars
The Karin Boor is a two-door coupé utility featured in Grand Theft Auto Online as part of the continuation of the Los Santos Drug Wars update, released on April 13, 2023, during the Boor Week event.
Design[]
Grand Theft Auto Online[]
The Boor is based on the second generation Subaru BRAT, with design cues from Toyota models, such as the main headlights and grille from the 1980-1984 Toyota Cresta (X50-X60), and the front bonnet and rear tail light setup from the fourth generation Toyota Hilux (N50/60/70).
The vehicle is depicted as a coupé utility with a similar design to the Picador and the Warrener HKR. The front end is predominated by a black/plastic bumper mounted on a higher height than the bodywork, which extends towards the front quarters and bears a silver/chrome trim above and two rectangular indicators. The area above the bumper is msotly finished in black/plastic with silver/chrome trim above and below, which features a mesh grille with two horizontal dividers and the "KARIN" lettering embossed on the driver side. The sections beside the grille are occupied by three headlamps, consisting of inner rectangular units working as the high-beam lamps, middle square units working as the main lamps and outer rectangular units working as the indicators. The bonnet area has a relatively simple design, with the lines starting from the grille area and almost reaching either side of the windscreen base, together with small vents and the corresponding wipers.
The sides of the vehicle are denoted by the fender flares and the black/plastic trims on the wheelbase area and rear quarters, along with slightly impressed formations running through the whole bodywork, with the upper body lines being cut by the front fender flares and passing just above the rear ones. The front fenders also have "KARIN" lettering above the upper body lines, while the doors have black/plastic handles and wing mirrors. The cabin is generally small in comparison to most vehicles and has silver/chrome trimming around the windows and on the load bed, as well as a T-top with black/plastic trim around the glass panes. The load bed is mostly occupied by a black/plastic bedliner, with inset sections behind the cabin and bulky wheel wells. Being an off-road vehicle, the Boor assumes a slightly raised height on the rear, with the suspension shocks/springs more visible.
The rear end of the vehicle is occupied by a wide tailgate, which bears a black/plastic handle on the centre, a similarly impressed area on the lower half and silver lettering on the driver side that displays both the manufacturer and the vehicle's name. The outer sections are occupied by large red tail lamps and smaller turn/reverse units above, while the bottom mounts a black/plastic bumper with a dedicated section on the centre for the number plate. The exhaust muffler and tube can be seen on the passenger side. The interior of the vehicle is derived from pickup trucks such as the Bobcat XL, the Slamvan and the Rat-Truck.
The primary colour of the vehicle is applied on most of the bodywork, while the secondary colour is applied on the lower portions. It shares the same rim design as the Rebel and its variants, fitted with high-profile tyres.
When any of the rusty-themed liveries is applied, most of the vehicle's chrome trim will become rusted, and its stock clean interior will be replaced with a beater variation, akin to the Rusty Rebel and the Rat-Loader.

Performance[]
Grand Theft Auto Online[]
The Boor is a rather slow car, both in the off-road class and in general. It is extremely lightweight, offering very little in terms of ramming power. It sports a four-wheel drive layout, with the rear of the car riding significantly higher than the front. The suspension, while soft, is heavily dampened, allowing it to handle bumps in the road well. It does however have a tendency to bounce back up after hitting a hard bump or landing a jump. Furthermore, it is lacking in power, showing relatively slow acceleration, though it boasts a decent top speed. Its brakes are very poor, taking a long time to bring to a stop. It suffers most of all from a lack of grip, leading to its handling feeling floaty and unresponsive. It is prone to sliding during hard cornering, though it is easy to keep from spinning out thanks to its excellent turning radius. Overall, it is a relatively difficult car to drive, and drivers should especially take note of the floaty handling and poor brakes.
The car is powered by a twin-cam inline-6 engine fitted with carburetors/throttle bodies, coupled to a 4-speed transmission and powering all four wheels. Its engine sound is a low-pitched variation of the one from the Sultan RS, the Sultan Classic and the Sultan RS Classic. Some modifications allow for a V-shaped engine (no specific configuration due to the lack of manifolds) with single/twin turbochargers or superchargers with a bug catcher.
While the "Truck Bed" modifications are technically spoilers, they do not offer increased traction due to a flag that prevents this change. [1]

Trivia[]
Grand Theft Auto Online[]
- The name Boor is a synonym of brat, meaning to be badly behaved or bad-mannered, further referencing the name of the Subaru BRAT.
- The "Karin Boor, Black", "Karin Boor, Red", "Boor Retro" and "Classic Karin" are based on various factory-optional liveries for the Subaru BRAT.
- The "80's Karin" livery is based on a body stripe kit for the Subaru Brumby as well as the BRAT.
- The "Star-Spangled Patriot" livery is similar to Joy's Subaru BRAT from the sitcom My Name is Earl.
