The Biplane is an airplane featured in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories, serving as one of only two controllable airplanes in the game, the other being the Skimmer.
Design[]
Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories[]
The design of the Biplane is comparable to the Pitts Special-based Stuntplane from Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, being similar in construction to the Stuntplane, but differing in terms of several designs, featuring a sharper nose, an open air cockpit, and a shorter rear stabilizer.
Performance[]
Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories[]
The maneuverability of the Biplane is inferior to that of the Stuntplane, being generally harder to steer, but otherwise it possesses a fairly quick speed while in flight. The Biplane can also sustain quite a bit of damage, but can still explode on impact if it crashes.

- At the end of the diagonal runway in Escobar International Airport after completing From Zero to Hero. Triggers the Crims On Wings side mission when entered. One can avoid triggering the mission by pushing the Biplane away from its spawn point by sprinting towards the wings, pushing it with a vehicle, or pressing the right analog stick.
- In a hangar south of the airport, also after passing From Zero to Hero. It triggers the Hyman Memorial O.D.T. side mission when entered. (PS2 only)
Trivia[]
Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories[]
- Due to a glitch, when the camera is in cinematic mode, Vic can drive-by. This is the only one of the two air vehicles in which a drive-by can be performed, the other one being the Maverick (the GTA Vice City rendition).
- In the BradyGames guide for GTA Vice City Stories, the plane is actually referred to as "Pitts", referencing its real life inspiration.
- In the PS2 version of the game, the Biplane will explode instantly upon collision with an object. In the PSP version, it will instead only catch on fire.
