The Vom Feuer Battle Rifle is an assault rifle featured in Grand Theft Auto Online as part of The Chop Shop update.
Design[]
Grand Theft Auto Online[]
The weapon is mainly based on the FN FAL, although its iron sights are inspired by the Heckler & Koch G3. The magazine is based on that of a Vepr 7.62x54r and shared with the Marksman Rifle.
Performance[]
Grand Theft Auto Online[]
The Battle Rifle has the same fire rate as several weapons of its class such as the Carbine Rifle and the Service Carbine. Owing to its powerful caliber, the Battle Rifle has the second highest damage per shot value of all assault rifles behind the Assault Rifle Mk II. Combined with its fire rate, the weapon's damage per second output is 281.5, making it one of the most powerful weapons of its class (behind the Advanced Rifle).
Like most weapons of its class, the Battle Rifle has good accuracy, although its recoil is quite high, making it less efficient for prolonged fire at longer ranges. The weapon uses by default 20-round magazines, the lowest capacity out of any assault rifle in the game. This makes reloads quite frequent, further discouraging the use of prolonged fire.
The Battle Rifle has a small attachments selection consisting of the Extended Clip and the Suppressor. Extended Clip enables the weapon to use 30-round magazines, which is the default capacity for all other assault rifles of the game. It will make reloads less frequent, though still more than other assault rifles with this attachment selected. The Battle Rifle can also equip the Suppressor like most weapons of its class, although it is more fit to use it given its high damage per shot, making the damage penalty inherent to this attachment less impactful than other rifles with lower damage per shot.
One particular feature that is not present on all assault rifles is that it can penetrate and pierce through multiple enemies, much like Sniper Rifles. This makes it useful in taking out multiple enemies at once, and as an alternative to sniper rifles.
