The definitive revision of an all-time classic: all it takes is a little work, and looks can kill after all.
Weapon Workshop and Social Club description.

The Shrewsbury Assault Rifle Mk II is a weapon that appears in Grand Theft Auto Online as part of the Gunrunning update.

Design

Grand Theft Auto Online

The weapon is the Mark II version of the Assault Rifle, and features several visual modifications. It has different iron sights (the front sight is that of an AKM), a custom pistol grip, a deeper magwell, an AKM's ribbed receiver cover, a handguard which is a mash-up of the B-10 and the 2016 version of the AK-12, and a collapsible stock that looks similar to ZenitCo PT-3 Klassika.

Performance

Grand Theft Auto Online

The Assault Rifle Mk II has a better damage than the Assault Rifle (40 instead of 30) and the same rate of fire. While being a significant increase in firepower, it still does not deliver as much damage as other assault rifles and machineguns do. However, its high damage per shot makes it a good choice to use specialized ammo.

When applying any specialized ammo, its magazine size is reduced to 20 rounds.

With the heavy barrel applied, long-range damage falls to 50% of point blank damage (as for other Mk II weapons) instead of 30% for most weapons.
