Angel of Death meets open sewer.
Arena War description.

The Western Motorcycle Company Apocalypse Deathbike is a custom motorcycle featured in Grand Theft Auto Online as part of the Arena War update.

Design[]

Grand Theft Auto Online[]

The vehicle appears to be influenced by Daryl's bike from the TV Series The Walking Dead, given the similar components on the front.

The vehicle is essentially a modified variant of the Gargoyle, having a worn bodywork and rusty details. The front has a shorter front fender in comparison to the Gargoyle's one and uses a mesh grating between the triple clamps, along with a single circular headlight that is offset to the left and having protective frames over it. The handlebars and the central frame seem to have an exhaust wrapping texture on it, and a circular rear-view mirror can be seen on the left handlebar.

The main body of the bike is largely similar to the Gargoyle, retaining the front radiator cover, long fuel tank and springed seat. However, it uses lightweight foot pegs for the rider, straps on the fuel tank, no dial and a transmission cover on the left. The engine bay uses a circular air filter and two shorter exhaust pipes on the right, the latter merging into one single exit facing to the outer side.

The rear area of the bike is similar to the Gargoyle, having the dual-sided swingarm and the suspension springs. However, the rear fender is shortened and lacks any sort of tail light.

The vehicle is only painted with a primary color, which is applied on the fenders, front forks, front radiator cover, fuel tank and the portion between the engine bay and the rear wheel. It retains the same rim design and the high-profile tires from the regular Gargoyle, but has tire chains wrapping both tires. When switching to custom rims, it is revealed that the wheel color is set to purple upon conversion.

The vehicle can be equipped with two side-mounted gatling guns that resemble GAU-17/A miniguns.

Performance[]

Grand Theft Auto Online[]

Vehicle[]

The Deathbike is similar to the Gargoyle in terms of handling, but has possibly the highest top speed of all land vehicles at a recorded 150 mph. The upgrades makes it an excellent choice for hits & runs. Like its base model, it is powered by a V-Twin engine and coupled to a 4-speed gearbox, also sharing the distinctively loud and odd-firing sound of the Gargoyle.

Players should be careful when the blades are equipped, since that, when taking a turn, any curbs or bumps in the way can hit the blades and may cause the rider to crash, as well as making the vehicle nearly as wide as the Chimera. Additionally, players need to be extra careful when driving this bike around Arena War events such as Carnage and Wreck It; if they fall off the bike as a result of an awkward landing or being caught in an explosion, it will count as the player being wasted. In addition, if the tires become punctured, its turning radius will be greatly affected, making it difficult to steer.

Abilities[]

  • The vehicle can be installed with "Jump" mods. The Jump modifications come in three levels of effectiveness and can be activated using the horn button. When activated, the vehicle will be launched into the air, in a similar way to the Ruiner 2000 and Scramjet.
  • The vehicle can be installed with Boost upgrades. This can be used to significantly speed up the vehicle. It can be used repeatedly while driving the vehicle, but it is better to let it fully recharge for maximum efficiency.

Armor[]

The Deathbike is able to take a single explosive without being destroyed. However, the rider is still vulnerable to gunfire. The Heavy Armor upgrade partially reduces this issue, as a riot shield is mounted over the rear fender, acting as a rear defense when escaping from a pursuing vehicle with front machine guns.

Weaponry[]

  • Miniguns: The vehicle can be modified to have two gatling guns, which behave similarly to other gatling guns such as the stock one from the Weaponized Tampa, having a base damage of 30, a fire rate of 1,500 rounds per minute and a maximum range of 100 meters/328 feet, as well as the ability to destroy vehicles instantly upon being damaged enough. While not particularly powerful against armored vehicles, it can still be deadly against enemies on foot and unarmored vehicles, and the maneuverability of the bike generally makes aiming easier while on movement.
  • The bike can also be installed with saw blades. These blades deal damage to NPCs and players, contact with the blades can instantly kill them and pop tires.
