Anthony Cumia (born April 26, 1961 in Long Island, New York, USA) is an American radio personality, broadcaster and voice actor.
Career[]
Cumia is best known as the former co-host of the Opie & Anthony radio show that aired from 1994 to 2014, alongside fellow GTA series voice actor Gregg "Opie" Hughes. It was through their real life show that he first met Lazlow in 2004, whom he and other members of the show quickly became close friends with, leading to many voice cameos by and references to both Opie & Anthony, its staff, and comedians associated with the show throughout the GTA series and other Rockstar titles. Lazlow would also host his own real life radio show, The Lazlow Show, on Opie and Anthony's satellite radio channel on (at the time) XM Satellite Radio, where Anthony sometimes appeared as a guest. In addition, some Opie & Anthony staff members would eventually end up being hired by Lazlow to work at Rockstar. Anthony, along with numerous O&A staff and associates, would go on to appear in nearly every Rockstar Games title during the remainder of Lazlow's tenure with the company.
He voiced a radio station caller on WCTR in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, a radio caller on LCFR's "The Electron Zone" in Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories, was a commercial announcer/actor as well as the announcer for VCPR's "The Time Ranger" in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories, a commercial announcer, mobster, and lead singer of the Pißwasser radio/TV commercial theme song in Grand Theft Auto IV, a radio and TV singer in The Lost and Damned, and voiced the character of Chef and reprised his role as the lead singer of the Pißwasser radio/TV commercial theme song in both Grand Theft Auto V and Grand Theft Auto Online. He also voiced Jeb Murphy in Rockstar Games' Red Dead Redemption and Red Dead Redemption: Undead Nightmare, as well as Herbert Moon in Red Dead Redemption, Red Dead Redemption: Undead Nightmare and Red Dead Redemption II.
