CJ drops by his newly acquired business, Zero RC, and greets a distraught Zero, who's just discovered that his arch-enemy Berkley has returned to town. Whilst telling CJ about his past with Berkley, Zero notices that Berkley has just launched a 'full-scale attack' on Zero RC's rooftop. CJ and Zero head to the roof, where they find Berkley's RC Barons trying to attack the transmitters. Zero instructs Carl to use a mounted minigun (with infinite ammo) to destroy the attacking planes, explaining that he needs the transmitters in one piece so he will be able to launch a counterattack.
Once the attack is successfully thwarted, Zero thanks Carl for the help, telling him that he will prepare for the counterattack soon.
Mission Objectives[]
In order to complete the mission the player must:
Use the minigun to eliminate the enemy threat
Reward[]
The reward for completing the mission is $3,000. Completing the mission unlocks the Supply Lines... mission for Zero.
Great, kid, don't get cocky!
(if CJ accidentally fires at him)
HEY HEY HEY! FRIENDLY FIRE, FRIENDLY FIRE!
WILL YOU WATCH IT, YOU IDIOT?!
More planes arrive from west.
Zero:
RC barons at 9 o'clock high, Carl!
CJ destroys all the planes.
Zero:
Ha ha ha ha Berkley! As long as we have opposable thumbs, WE WILL FIGHT YOU! ...Well done, Carl. Now leave, I must prepare for the battles ahead. Never have so few owed so many... too little, three... no that's not it, what is it? We will fight him on the beaches, well, rooftops...
Carl sarcastically says that Berkley being back explains everything.
Zero quips in agreement.
Carl asks Zero who Berkley is.
Zero says that Berkley is a former acquaintance of his, who's been holding a grudge on him since the last time they met in a fair competition...
...and that ever since he beat him in that fair, Berkley has been obsessed with revenge.
Carl thinks that Zero literally beat Berkley up.
Zero denies having had a fight with Berkley, saying that he'd never start violence.
Carl then theorizes that Zero stole Berkley's girlfriend.
Zero retorts that he actually beat Berkley for the first prize in a science fair.
Carl jokingly asks Zero if Berkley is out to kill him.
Zero stays silent as Carl can't keep himself from bursting out in laughter.
Carl remarks that whatever foolish thing gangbangers do pales in comparison to the petty reasons for Berkley and Zero's conflict.
As Carl and Zero talk, they suddenly hear a bleeping noise.
Carl asks Zero what the noise is.
Zero says that it's Berkley and tells Carl that they shall go outside and fight him.
As the two get on the shop's roof, Zero says that Berkley is launching an attack on the shop...
...and is targeting the transmitters on the rooftop.
Zero says that they must protect the transmitters, otherwise he won't be able to launch a counterattack.
Carl says that he'll help Zero, even if the task is destroying some toys.
Zero retorts that the planes Berkley is using to attack the shop are far from toys - they're smaller, but just as dangerous as the real thing.
Carl must now use a mounted minigun to take out the attacking planes.
Carl taking out the RC planes.
Carl shooting the last remaining planes.
Zero celebrates his victory against Berkley...
...saying that he'll fight Berkley for as long as he can.
Zero thanks Carl for the help...
...and tells Carl that he can leave while he prepares for a counterattack.
Zero tries to recite a Winston Churchill quote, but forgets the line...
...then tries to recite another quote, but forgets it too.
Mission passed.

Trivia[]
Zero's line "Great kid, don't get cocky!" is a reference to the Star Wars character Han Solo, who says the exact same line to Luke Skywalker in Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope while Skywalker is shooting down enemy aircraft, similarly to the premise of this mission.
The last comment made by Zero ([...] Never have so few owed so many... too little, three... no that's not it, what is it? We will fight him on the beaches, well, rooftops...) references two Winston Churchill quotes.
Completing "Air Raid" and the other Zero missions is not mandatory for continuing the storyline, though it is mandatory for those seeking 100% completion (and who want to obtain Zero's store as an asset).
It is possible to shoot Zero's head off with the Minigun during this mission, but doing so will fail the mission. He will drop a Fire Extinguisher upon death, but Carl cannot pick it up since he is unable to move unless the mission concludes any way and upon conclusion, he will be teleported to the bottom of the building.
If a bomb is dropped, but the plane that dropped it is destroyed before the bomb hits the ground, the bomb will not explode (confirmed on the iPad version).
Also in the final cutscene where CJ fires the minigun, Zero may wander blindly into the line of fire and die, but the cutscene will continue as normal.
This is one of the two missions in the game where the player can use a mounted Minigun, the other being Up, Up and Away!. Unlike in that mission, the use of the mounted Minigun here is mandatory and can be obtained with a large amount of ammo.
It may be recommended to have an empty heavy weapon slot before attempting this mission. Leftover ordinance for the Rocket Launcher from the mission Are You Going to San Fierro? is best used to blow up the portables in Deconstruction beforehand. Otherwise, after the mission, the weapon icon will vanish, and trying to fire it will crash the game. Saving the game and then restarting should fix this bug.
Sometimes on the mobile version, when trying to shoot down the RC Barons, the game will freeze.
The cutscenes of this mission cannot be skipped on the mobile version because the UI button to do so does not appear on the screen (confirmed on Android).
Zero's line "Will you watch it, you idiot!" is reused later during the ending cutscene of Breaking the Bank at Caligula's when CJ punches him.
