Adam Fowler was a technical director at Rockstar North from 2000 to 2015.
Career[]
Fowler originally joined DMA Design in 1995, working on games such as Body Harvest and Lemmings 2 as a programmer and the head of the tools department.
In 2000, he became a technical director at Rockstar North.
As technical director, Fowler was credited on Grand Theft Auto III, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories, Grand Theft Auto IV, The Lost and Damned, The Ballad of Gay Tony, Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars, Grand Theft Auto V and Grand Theft Auto Online.
In an interview following the release of GTA V, Fowler was described as one of the original architects behind the streaming technology that allowed the 3D worlds of GTA III and the games that followed it to exist in the way they did.[1][2]
Fowler left Rockstar North in April 2015. He has since taken up photography after leaving the video game industry.
