A Shadow of Doubt is a mission in Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars given to protagonist Huang Lee by the Liberty City Triads leader Hsin Jaoming from outside San Quentin Avenue Station in South Bohan, Bohan, Liberty City.
Description[]
Hsin wants Huang to follow a Midtown Gangsters member to discover the location of their new safehouse.
Walkthrough[]
Follow the man with the pink umbrella. Whenever he turns around, hide behind something, whether it be a wall or a Yankee. Eventually he'll reach a friend behind a repair shop in Boulevard. While they're talking, plant a tracking device on their car through a minigame. When they leave, get in a nearby car and follow the blip on the map, which updates intermittently, don't take too long to drive between the blips or else the mission will fail. When the player reaches their hideout, the mission ends.
Mission Objectives[]
In order to complete the mission the player must:
- Tail the gangster with the pink umbrella.
- Plant a bug on that Koreans' car quickly.
- Follow the bug's signal.
Mission Replay Description[]
"After a change of leadership, the Midtown Gangsters moved their main base of operations.
Hsin needed to know whether they remained loyal to him, so he had me follow one of their Korean gangbangers to find this 'secret' hideout."

Oversights[]
- There is a slight bug that only seems to occur on the PSP port of the game. Sometimes when Huang is tasked with planting the tracking device on the car, the game will not progress even after it has been planted. The timer will run down to zero, and the player will fail the mission. This is fixed with a simple reload of the game save.
Trivia[]
- The distinctive umbrella used by the Korean has a pattern that resembles the Rampage icon in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City and Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories with a pink color.
- Some of the roads are blocked by Bulldozers and barricades in this mission.
- A Sultan will always be parked in the right side of the road for the player's use (in this case, following the Koreans' car).
