The stores are inaccessible to the player and play no role in the storyline whatsoever. The store can be assumed to have a significant Spanish-speaking clientele, judging by the fact that part of the advertisement text on the store's exterior is in Spanish ("Aceptamos estampillas de comida" means "We accept food stamps [as payment]").
